Mini Camp

Serving Pre-K through rising Kindergarteners, Mini Camp is the perfect option for those not quite ready for a full day of camp.

Mini Camp is the perfect introduction to the Summer’s Edge at Camp Thoreau experience. With caring, enthusiastic counselors leading the way, campers enjoy days packed with a variety of activities that promote using their imagination, cooperating with group members, and playing outdoors!

Mini Camp Features

Mini Camp serves campers age 4 through rising Kindergarteners. Campers must be toilet-trained.

Activities

Tennis lessons on junior courts
Arts & crafts, theatre, nature, sports and more!
Daily Red Cross swim lesson through our Swim School

Mini Camp:
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Extended Day:
7:30 AM – 8:45 AM

After careful thought and extensive discussions, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue Summer’s Edge at Camp Thoreau for the 2026 camp season.

Currently, we do not have a replacement camp location or program to announce for Summer 2026. Should that change in the future, we will communicate that here and within the community.
