When you close your eyes and think of what summer camp should look like, what comes to mind? Chances are you envision rustic cabins, acres of woods to explore, a program steeped in tradition. That is what camp at The Thoreau Club offers, and so much more!

Nestled on 35 wooded acres in historic Concord, MA, our camp focuses on building character, confidence and community. From archery to arts & crafts, ropes courses to campfire building, the camp experience is rooted in caring and kindness where kids can be kids.

About Camp at the Thoreau club

With the guidance of group counselors and program leaders, campers aged 4 – 15 years old will:

  • Become a member of a community of individuals that act in a caring, respectful, fair and friendly manner.
  • Be acknowledged each session for their achievements/milestones within the camp curriculum.
  • Be acknowledged when demonstrating character within the camp community.

What Makes Our Camp Unique

In a world full of specialized camps tailored to one or two specific skills or interests, remains dedicated to the development of well-rounded and confident youth through a comprehensive camp experience.

*This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the local Board of Health.

Camp PROGRAMS

Families can choose from Mini Camp, our half day weekly program for campers ages 4 years old to rising Kindergarten, our Full-Day Camp for campers ages 4 to 14 years old, or Junior Tennis Camp, offered by The Thoreau Club, for qualified players ages 7-17.

FULL-DAY CAMP

We pride ourselves with fostering youth development by building confidence, teamwork, responsibility and friendship in our campers.

MINI CAMP

Serving Pre-K through rising Kindergarteners, Mini Camp is the perfect option for those not quite ready for a full day of camp.

JUNIOR TENNIS CAMP

The Thoreau Club Junior Tennis program offers full and half-day “camp sessions” for junior tennis players ages 7-17. Advanced-beginners and intermediate players will improve their skills through fun games and drills with our renowned professional tennis staff.

Campers enjoy a wide variety of activities, such as sports, arts and crafts, daily swim lessons, free swim, hip hop dance, a challenge course, outdoor living skills, and other classic camp events.
